DESCRIPTION
Ordet is a platform for artistic and cultural production that sets out to expand the format of the art exhibition and to foster new models of research and transmission of content resonating with our present and our future. Ordet’s mission is to put artists, curators, and specialists in various disciplines at the center of its activities that include exhibitions, thematic cycles, events, talks, book presentations and other forms of encounter. Ordet wants to put forward original perspectives and stimulate converging viewpoints. Our modus operandi is experimental and collaborative, and relies on the cooperation of institutions, museums, and international public and private projects. Ordet is housed in a former blacksmith laboratory in the Porta Romana area of Milan. The program is organized by Edoardo Bonaspetti and Stefano Cernuschi in coordination with a development committee of international curators and theorists: Elena Filipovic, director of Kunsthalle Basel; Philippe Pirotte, rector of the Städelschule of Frankfurt; Ute Meta Bauer, director of the Centre for Contemporary Art of Singapore; Chus Martínez, director of the Art Institute of FHNW Academy of Art and Design in Basel; Catherine Wood, Senior Curator, Performance at the Tate Modern in London; Vincenzo de Bellis, curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis; and Fernanda Brenner, director of Pivô in São Paolo. Project Manager: Anna Bergamasco.A
